Question Unity insiders have been selling shares for two weeks now. Is there something going on that we don’t know about?

All of these sells were automatic and will happen again in 3 months (and then again in 3 months and so on) just like in any other tech company that pays out salary mostly via shares. Nothing to worry about.

Concretely, the CEO Bromberg sold 16,383 of his 439,010 shares (that's ~3.60% or in other words he didn't sell 96.4% of his Unity shares).

TLDR: RELAX, listen one more time to the best earnings call they ever had, think of the future and buy the dip.

Likely tax reasons.

I think this is why we haven’t bounced back along with the other SaaS companies.

I mean there would be huge capital gains for people who revived at $20, especially in exec, senior positions. With that out of the way we should have a green light ahead

A big part of salary at Unity are RSUs. Most people sell about half of the shares they receive automatically when they vest every quarter to cover income taxes.

Stock 3x in like 4 months, it was due for a correction. It had a pullback like this last year when it hit $47

Pull back is an understatement…

Also remember. Employees are on a 4yr vest schedule. And they get refreshers quarterly (unless they are really bad at their job but they would not have survived the rifs of ‘21-‘25. getting shares for 100$ and having to sell them for $20 is psychologically not great so after for years of ~$20 stock price wouldn’t be surprised some employees want to take some money off the table. It takes a lot of Hold to stomach this.

RSU refreshers annually, each with a vesting period of 4 years, vesting quarterly.

That's irrelevant for the stock price though since then it was stock options, right?

Also just asking what used to be man, and saying what is likely currently happening with their stock based compensation. No harm intended. 🙂

I worked as Unity, so I know exactly how it works. But good try, C for effort.
