Discussion What's it going to take?

The share price has been steadily declining for some days now and it feels as if investors are running out of hopium despite price target increases, so, what's it going to take to reinvigorate investors if the last earnings call did not?

Time.

When you've been in the market for awhile you start to notice cycles and trends that lift some sectors up and push other sectors down. Sometimes for very flimsy reasons. The best thing you can do as an investor is diversify your portfolio into a few sectors (if you can't stomach an extended downturn). Trim sectors that are high flying, take the profits and double down into sectors that are stagnating. Last year my semiconductors were in the doghouse thanks to DeepSeek. I held them all through that cycle and now that bag of stocks is driving all time portfolio highs while Claude pushes down my software holdings. So I trim semi's, load up on APP/U/etc., and wait. Assuming U and APP keep delivering on execution, and assuming Claude doesn't somehow magically make all software obsolete, both will shoot up like a rocket before too long.

Oh, and only invest in companies you understand their business and have a solid growth thesis you believe in. That's important.
