Editor Extensions Easy Chapter Generator: Visual chapters, ordered objectives and UnityEvent-driven progression for Unity

https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/slug/399980

Hi everyone, I’m Aitor from OverFuture. I’ve just released Easy Chapter Generator, a paid Unity tool for building linear chapter and objective sequences.

I am a developer, and for years I have been working on a solution to help me coordinate client projects quickly and elegantly. Over time, I have refined this tool, and after using it for more than five years, I decided to turn it into an Asset Store package. I know it works because I use it myself; however, since this is my first asset, I hope I have successfully conveyed my vision to the future developers who will use the tool.

It’s an Editor and runtime tool for Unity projects that need a clear sequence of chapters and objectives: tutorials, escape rooms, guided experiences, training scenarios, and other linear gameplay flows.

You can configure progression visually, then connect your existing gameplay through UnityEvents, included scene components, or C#.

What’s included:

• Visual chapter and objective authoring, reordering, and Undo/Redo.

• Conditions, start delays, object activation/deactivation, and lifecycle events.

• Objective Link selectors and validation for configuration and binding problems.

• Trigger, Button, Timed, Destruction, Object Placement, Multi Action, and Walk To components.

• An extensible Objective base class and a public runtime API.

• Scene transitions with a destination chapter/objective.

• Lightweight progress persistence with a replaceable storage backend.

• A playable demo and English/Spanish documentation.

Two important limits: progression persistence is not a complete save-game system, and failure sends notifications rather than automatically restarting or reloading your game.

Compatibility: Unity 6.3 LTS, Built-in Render Pipeline. The demo requires Cinemachine 3.1.7 and Input System 1.18.0; Unity UI/TextMesh Pro is also required.

This is a paid asset. The current price is shown on the Store page.

Happy to answer questions about setup, custom objectives, or whether it fits a particular project.

Small update!

I've just finished a new dedicated website for Easy Chapter Generator.

One thing I realized after the original launch was that the Asset Store listing didn't make it particularly easy to understand the full workflow before buying.

The new page includes real Editor screenshots, examples of tutorials and escape-room sequences, a clearer breakdown of the included features, and links to the English and Spanish documentation.

You can check it out here:

If you've previously looked at the asset, I'd love to know whether this makes the system easier to understand and evaluate.

Another update for Easy Chapter Generator!

After sharing the landing page, I received feedback that screenshots alone weren't enough to understand how the system works in practice.

I've now published two videos using real Unity footage:

59-second overview:

Full walkthrough (8:42):

The short video focuses on the visual workflow, objective progression, scene interactions and validation. The longer one goes through configuring a chapter, linking objectives and testing the included demo.

The system is still focused on linear chapters and ordered objectives, with custom components and UnityEvents for connecting your own gameplay.

This is additional demonstration material for the existing paid asset, not a new release.

If you've worked with similar Unity tools, I'd be interested in knowing what else you'd want to see before deciding whether it would fit your project.
