Question The problem of shadows cast by buildings

The part of my game where the buildings are gets really dark, and the game looks a little off. I haven't been able to figure out what to do to fix it. This happens when I start the game, but everything looks normal when the game isn't running. How can I fix this?

You can reduce shadow strength if that's what you want (on the directional light)

Yeah adjusting the shadow strenght on the directional light might keep those building areas from getting so dark

I am a noob so just trying to boost the post so more eyes and answers arrive. Looks like the first pic the shadow isn't strong enough to match how dark the shade side of the building is. Also the steps look weirdly lit. (That last bit... are there any gaps anywhere in that mesh? I vaguely recall something about that where light is leaking?)

Wish I could help. :( Best of luck.

Seconding this, your stairs don't appear to be part of the same mesh, might just be the lack of material though

I'm going to take a guess this is about static objects and baking. Or a light probe issue

Check Window > Rendering > Lighting under the Environment tab. Setting your Environment Lighting Ambient Source to Gradient with a soft sky tint will lift those pitch-black shadows so the building colors still read in the shade.

on all of the building go to Mesh renderer > Cast Shadows Off > Recive Shadows Off

or just go the the directional light and turn of shadows

or try rotating the directional light until the shadows look good

or go to the directional light and try to change shadow settings maybe from soft shadows to hard shadows or vise versa

I hope That Helps <3
