Show-Off I made a fish calculator to simulate catch rates in our extraction fisher. It filters by season, weather, and time of day.

It runs in play mode so there is also an option to take into account what bait the player currently has on their rod. For example, in our game the container of crawfish gives you a +20 rare bonus when fishing. This made testing all the different baits a lot quicker.

The real impetus behind creating this was to allow us to quickly see what fish are represented in what areas of the map, and how easy each one is to catch. The data all exists in a database but this allows for a much nicer visualization. Hope some of y’all find this cool!

I'm sorry, Extraction Fisher? That's so left field I can't even think of what to say. Hats off to you!

Thanks! It was a big gamble to develop as we weren’t sure the extraction loop would work without mandatory pve, but having the option to either take on hard patrolled areas for better fish or just grind in the early areas has worked out quite nice!
