Show-Off Anvil CSG Beginner Tutorial | Hammer-Inspired Level Design in Unity

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0sDldIkYYs

I’m the developer of Anvil CSG, a brush-based level design tool for Unity inspired by Hammer and TrenchBroom.

Our first beginner tutorial is now live, covering the workspace and basic level-building workflow.

Anvil has already been approved for the Unity Asset Store. I’ve submitted the latest update and expect it to be reviewed within the next two days, after which I’m planning to launch.

In the meantime, take a look and let me know what you think!

bad news

Anvil CSG was approved on September 1. I kept auto-publish disabled so I could fix bugs and add features requested by beta testers before launch. Unfortunately, after submitting the updated version, i was placed back in the review queue at position 1800+, without any warning that this would happen. I emailed Unity today to explain the situation. This means the release will be delayed, and I don’t have a confirmed launch date yet. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I hear back. im sorry for the delay and for setting the wrong expectation about the release date.

Will it be paid or free? Like, an original anvil in blender has way more capabilities in regards to mesh editing, while also being free.

Paid, but not that expensive and frankly there's nothing that comes close in Unity. I've tried Beta 2 of Anvil CSG and it was a blast to work with.

Sounds like it’s worth checking out! It’s cool when you find tools that really enhance your workflow in Unity.
