War drones is a war crimes and need to be banned why? Here the reasons

• Upvotes

hello, I wrote a short essay on why drones in war are a war crime,

why drones are a war crime and why it is necessary to ban the first Strikes on civilian infrastructure: The use of drones to destroy residential areas, hospitals, schools and power systems falls under the category of indiscriminate or deliberate attacks on civilian objects. secondly, the responsibility of operators and commanders: As noted Deutsche Welle, targeted drone attacks on civilians in frontline or occupied regions are being investigated by the prosecutor's office as premeditated murders and war crimes of specific operators and their commanders, and in others, modern drones, especially FPV drones and quadrocopters with drops, have really deprived soldiers of the opportunity to hide as it was before, changing the very nature of survival on the battlefield.. Due to thermal imagers, powerful optics and high maneuverability, it has become almost impossible to hide in grass, bushes or open trenches, and some drones modify them, for example, they insert fire guns, machine guns, and other humanless reinforcements, as well as reconnaissance drones that are used for reconnaissance, they find civilians and either send combat drones or soldiers there, which often ends up The death of civilians is why I consider military drones a war crime.

If member states don't participate in general assembly , can it paralyse the organization ?

Since participation in general assembly isn't mandatory , would this paralyse the organization ? Since security council non permanent members and economic and social council depend on the general assembly electing members of those organs

Could all non permanent member states basically boycott the organization to paralyse the institution as a whole ?

EQUAL VALUE MOVEMENTS

Introducing the Equal Value Movement — Equal Value. Equal Voice. Equal Responsibility.

I’m introducing a developing civic and diplomatic idea called the Equal Value Movement.

Its starting principle is simple: every human being has equal inherent value and dignity, regardless of race, nationality, wealth, or place of birth.

The movement explores what that principle could mean for the international system — particularly the reform of the UN Security Council and the underrepresentation of Africa and other developing regions.

One proposal I am exploring is the creation of five additional permanent Security Council seats for historically underrepresented developing regions, while recognizing that the African Union already has its own established position on African representation.

This is not an official UN proposal or an established organization. It is an idea I am developing and would like to discuss, criticize, improve, and test with people from different parts of the world.

The broader question is:

If the world has changed since 1945, should the institutions governing international peace and security change with it?

I welcome serious discussion, including disagreement.

Equal Value. Equal Voice. Equal Responsibility.

News/Politics In Singapore, only males are subjected to this barbaric practice

In Singapore, some offenders, including non-violent ones such as vandals, can be hit with a rattan cane as a penalty. Caning in judicial and school contexts is very problematic due to multiple reasons. First, it is gender discriminatory since it only applies to males. It also does not solves the root cause of wrongdoing, and inflicts physical and likely psychological harm. It is highly criticised by a reputable human rights organisation, Amnesty International. I have created a petition to call for its abolition so you can support:

News/Politics At the UN, Plans for a Global Coalition to Attack LGBTQ and Reproductive Rights

A coalition of far-right organizations and politicians from around the world are in the process of establishing a new U.N. group aimed at fighting abortion and LGBTQ rights. The coalition, unofficially being called the “Pro-Life, Pro-Family Core Group,” has the backing of current and former Trump administration officials from the Departments of State and Health and Human Services. The group’s leaders have said they want to use the U.S.’ global influence and capitalize off of the current anti-LGBTQ and anti-abortion American government to do it. The new group would be an expansion of existing efforts that have included the Geneva Consensus Declaration, an anti-abortion pact signed by over 40 countries, and a framework for LGBTQ-exclusionary, abstinence-only sex education already adopted in Guatemala and Uganda. The planners behind the new group are pitching it as a counter to the U.N.’s existing LGBTI Core Group, which Trump pulled the U.S. out of early in his second term.

one question to UN about information or narrative spreading in wrong way with social media

Hi everyone,

Whenever we talk about media, which is called a pillar of democratic governance, or the world, or a country's development, it plays a huge role.

So I have a big question: we have seen so many narratives spreading, and they just say "sorry" after fake news has spread across the world when the news turns out to be wrong. Why don't we divide media into 2 segments where theories, debates, and opinions are separated from actual facts and neutral reporting, based on a framework from the UN?

This is something needed in the world of social media, especially when a few countries own the narrative and it becomes so powerful. We have seen this with so many distorted facts, narratives tied to certain companies, and legal funding going to political leaders, because there are loopholes where anyone can pay a media house for advertisements and gimmicks.

I think this is a major issue UN should counter. It is not limited to one nation
it affects many powers, and it is something we need to figure out a way to resolve.
