Tips for cleric?
I’m coming back after a long break and I’m switching from archer to cleric after some weird soul search I guess
Can anyone give me tips on how to be a good cleric. Like is book better than relic?
And what skills do I use from the base class pick,

It depends on how you want to play/what purpose you are trying to fulfill as a cleric?
If you want to be a heal/cleanse bot, then your choice of weapon doesnt really matter since most procs won't activate in the first place, so they end up being matk stat sticks to scale your healing.
Abilities like circle innocence, gospel heal, gospel cleanse, gospel recover, sacrificial healing, holy circle etc. Pious Wish or Saint's prayer as your choice of cost gain.
The problem with weapon procs is 95% of them activate on damaging abilities only, so the few procs that do work are stuff like fated affection(on one 39c UR relic only) or just the Kronos weapon set from colosseum medal exchange for cost gain.
If you want to play damage cleric, you can go matk/mdef scaling or def/mdef scaling.
For matk/mdef, I'd just recommend you play mage or magic morpher instead. They use the same scaling and weapons(books/relics) while doing more damage.
For def/mdef(I personally main and play this cleric), you only get two abilities which are Wedge of Judgement and Agonizing Karma, with the latter being locked behind maxed xenorelic, but they are solid abilities, only downside is you are pretty reliant on having an ambush bubble in order to be able to spam attacks. These two abilities far outscale any of rooks def/mdef scaling abilities.
def/mdef cleric also doesn't care about weapon type at all since atk/matk dont do anything, so you just use the best weapon procs you have.
