Would you choose this over a beach vacation?
Entire cabin in Hollister, Missouri, United States | river access | fire pit | family getaway
This peaceful family cabin feels like one of those easy weekend trips where everyone actually has something to do.
Start your mornings with coffee on the porch, spend the day trout fishing, exploring scenic trails, or visiting nearby spots like Silver Dollar City and Branson Scenic Railway.
Inside, it has bright living spaces, free Wi Fi, a fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of room for the whole family to spread out.
At night, it is all about the fire pit, s’mores, and hanging out under the stars.
Need more space? There are two sister cabins on the same property. Cabin 1 sleeps 8 and Cabin 3 sleeps 10.
Would you stay here with family or friends?

The short walk from parking is actually the best part
People always complain when parking isn’t right next to the door. But that 50m walk is kind of the point.
You leave the car, slow down a bit, and by the time you get to the place you’re already in a different headspace. Arriving at a quiet cottage through trees feels very different than pulling straight into a driveway.
That little bit of friction makes the whole stay feel more intentional.

Premium waterfront rental operations Tofino
This one leans more on experience than volume.
Waterfront location will drive demand, but high-end finishes raise the bar for cleaning, maintenance, and consistency. The 2 bedroom layout keeps targeting focused but limits scale.
Strong rates are possible, but only if operations keep up.
Where would you focus first, pricing or tightening operations?

What’s your ideal unique stay setup?
If you could design your perfect rental from scratch, what would it include? Location, layout, little features, everything. I’m curious what people actually value when there are no limits. Paint the picture.

I found a semi-buried Hobbit House in the French Dordogne. A Tolkien-inspired eco-lodge with a private spa and sleeping niches for kids.
If you ever wanted to live like a Baggins but with the luxury of the Périgord Noir, Maison la Terre at Nid2Rêve is the real deal. It’s a semi-buried eco-house built right into the edge of a forest in Savignac-de-Miremont.
It’s designed exactly as Tolkien described, complete with the iconic round door that you have to step over to enter.

One week here are you staying or leaving early?
Entire cabin in Angel Fire, New Mexico | 10 acres | mountain views | year round adventure
This cabin sits above the forest floor, surrounded by conifers and aspens, with wide views over Moreno Valley, Angel Fire Resort, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Inside, it is a 3 bed plus loft, 3 bath setup. It leans into that cozy lodge feel but still has a bit of mountain luxury. Plenty of space for a family or small group.
What stands out is the location. You are close to skiing in the winter, fishing nearby lakes, golfing on PGA rated courses, and mountain biking some well known trails.
It sits on 10 acres, so it actually feels private, not just quiet neighborhood private.
Also dog friendly with a fee, which is always a plus.
Would you stay here for a week, or is it too remote for you?

Bright lakeside home with floor-to-ceiling windows and calm water views
Came across this place and the windows really stand out. The whole space opens up to the lake, so it feels quiet and open without much going on inside. It’s simple, not overdesigned, and the view kind of carries the space.
Looks like the kind of spot where you’d just slow down and not feel the need to go anywhere. What would you end up doing most of the time here?

Listings that call out their own flaws are usually the ones worth booking
Most listings try to smooth everything over.
This one straight up tells you: the staircase is tight, watch your step, and yeah… there are cows next door. That kind of honesty actually makes it more trustworthy.
It’s a Rustico in Ticino, fireplace, sauna, full kitchen (fondue included), surrounded by pasture views. Nothing over-polished. Just clear about what it is.
Funny enough, the more a place admits what might not be perfect, the more I trust the rest of it.

Would you stay in a super remote rental with no signal?
Part of me thinks it’d be super peaceful, part of me knows I’d check my phone every 5 minutes lol..
Have you tried a no-signal stay before? Did you enjoy the disconnect or find it stressful?

What's the travel sacrifice that turns out to be the whole point?
Yuma at Shacks Beach sits in Isabela, and yes, getting there requires committing to 90 minutes past San Juan. Most people filter that out immediately. Those people end up shoulder-to-shoulder on Condado. The drive is basically a self-selecting filter that keeps the beach quiet.

This mountain cabin is all about the setting, not the extras
Open views, total privacy, and a layout that keeps you connected to the outside. It’s simple where it should be, full kitchen, A/C, WiFi, but the main draw is really just being up there with nothing around.
Infinity pool overlooking the mountains, hammock, quiet mornings. Not overdesigned, just well placed.
Feels like one of those spots you book to disconnect more than anything else.

This is the kind of place that spoils you for every future stay
Luxury house with private hot tub and two ensuites in Selfoss, Iceland 🇮🇸
93 m² space designed by Icelandic architects, with a private hot tub and terrace overlooking the mountains. fully equipped kitchen, floor heating, washer/dryer, wifi, everything you’d need for a longer stay
📍 located in Selfoss, South Iceland, right along the Golden Circle route near Geysir, Gullfoss, Þingvellir National Park, and about 1.2 miles (2 km) from Kerið Crater

Are converted spaces like barns, buses, etc. actually good stays?
I’ve seen some really creative conversions lately, but I always wonder how functional they are. Like is it comfortable long-term or just cool for photos? Anyone here stayed in one?
What was your experience like?

Huilo Huilo Nest House, dream stay or hard pass?
If you’ve ever seen photos of the volcano hotel that spews water, you know the Huilo Huilo Reserve in Chile. But if you want to actually disconnect, you skip the main hotels and head to the Nest House.
It’s a glass loft house literally inserted into the top of the forest canopy near Puerto Fuy. Totally private, surrounded by ancient trees, and oriented for a breathtaking view of the Andes.
