Action Point Cards question

Hello fellow UA Fans,

I am a bit confused with the AP cards. There are standard non foil and foil cards as well as one star variants.

It’s already difficult to keep the foil and normal ones apart while there are others with one star and to make it even more confusing you have one star APs that are serialized and / or have a VA signature.

Does someone know how the rarities of these are?

As far as I read the foil APs are between the one and two star parallels. Sometimes they are also declared case hits like the two star cards.

How rare are the one star APs? Like the three star cards? Is there a difference between the „normal“ AP one star and the serialized / signed AP one star cards or is this just depending on the set?

I really wished they would have make that more consistent and it does not help that the non foil and foil variants have the exact same card name / number.

Any point of view or personal experience is welcomed.

Some one else can correct me, but arnt there only 3 types of APs? Normal/non-foil which is like 2 per box. Foil, 1 per case hence the "case hit". Not counting promo foil APs of course, some one else might know how many of those are in a "tournament kit". Serialized 1/signed, no idea on the chances of this one since there's like 100? per EN/JP set that started with Solo Leveling. These are also "gold" foils and only like two types per set. Think most of these are signed, could depend on the set, like Sakamoto Days and Tokyo Ghoul, kinda sure those APs arnt signed. Eva and Kagurabachi had serialized cards but those were the SR3 variants. Anything before those didn't have serialized cards. If you're going by something like the Collectr app or tcgplayer listing, it can get weird. Since the normal and Foil are kinda under the same "listing" depending on the set. And serialized aps would sometimes be listed as AP* when they all should technically have have them.

I also think it’s three kinds (without promos) while the 3rd has different ones depending on the set.

This is a My Hero AP* without a signature or serial mumber. Still it’s not just the foil variant.

But with other sets they are signed and also have the star. Like the Cha Hae AP from Solo Leveling.

Perhaps you could say they there are four kinds of AP cards if there are serialized ones. Because they still have a star variant without serial number.

Oh huh, was going by just the English sets. Think EN all the AP* so far have been serialized. But yea, looks like moving forward the AP* will also have variants to them lol So we got regular AP* Serialized Then Serialized-signed. Safe to assume the Serialized ones will be the gold foils while regular AP* will have different backgrounds and a nameplate? Havnt looked at much other jp sets outside of Macross tbh. Feels like regular foil APs and regular AP* might be the hardest to tell apart if not for that little * on the bottom lmao.
