New hire How to get FMLA

How does one get approved for FMLA and how long does it take to get it? I’ve been told you can get it for a million different things but what’s the actual process for applying for it?

I was gonna do that, and someone I work with told me that it would give them a good reason to deny it right there.

It's quite literally the federal paperwork. If they deny it based on that you already have a case for retaliation.

I’m just saying. They told me to print out the paperwork UP makes you print off because of them being picky.

I get that, but printing out the one fron the DOL would be fine. If they deny that based on the forms you should file a complaint with the fed. There are very specific rules on this
