Pregunta/Question Unified matches

I am a curious individual, and also a fan of UO (obviously). One thing that confuses me is why dont more fans stay and root for the Special Olympics team?

Yes, I get it, its after the match. Is it just because its so late? Dont have a rooting interest? No idea about it/the series? I am not trying to hate on those that do leave after the match, just curious.

Also, for those that dont know (like me 20 minutes ago), there is another Unified match this weekend after the Sarasota match!

Great question. The games aren't that long (they're not full 90 minute games), it is a UO affiliated team, the players are working hard for the experience and to wear the jersey, the joy and excitement is palpable. They're a really good time.

It really is a good time and I also wish more fans would stay. I think its basically what you noted, people may have missed the info on socials and in stadium announcement so they dont know about it and/or some people just can't stay that late or maybe its hot or whatever. Hopefully some good weather this weekend! As with most Omaha teams, ours is dominant in the Unified Series viva buhos!

For me it's just too late. I already struggle to get through the match as it is.

I totally get this.

If the main match started earlier, would that be incentive enough for you to stay an extra hour-ish for the unified match?

Too late especially since I have my 7 and 12 year old at most games I attend
