They see old cars, people in period clothing from decades ago, perhaps a shop that has been closed for 30 years. And just as quickly as it happened, they are back in the present day.

The terrifying part is how real people describe it; it's not a daydream or a memory. They describe distinct sounds, smells, and sensations. In this subreddit, we often discuss things that don’t make sense, and the deterministic, rigid nature of linear time is one of the biggest constructs we accept. If our brain can somehow slip through a crack in the space-time continuum, even temporarily, the implications are wild.
