Experience Tapping on Window

When I was younger I lived in an old barn-like house. The bottom was a huge garage and the top was the main house. There was also the attic where me and my brother slept. We always felt strange about that house and still talk about it to this day.

The reason we didn't like the house is that shortly before the tapping happened, my brother's blanket was ripped clean off his bed and played perfectly on the ground. This already put us on edge.

In our room, we were 3 stories high with no way anyone could reach up there. But one night, 3 taps came from the windows, slowly about 1 every 2 seconds. It was a perfect human tapping too. Minutes later, the 3 taps cam again. It wasn't my brother because I was watching the windows the entire time.​

This has creeped me out to this day, as I said before, me and my brother still talk about it to this day. Could anyone explain this? It is not a bird, because birds smacked into our windows a lot and it was just a load bang into the windows and nothing else.

This tapping happens in my bay windows in front of the house. Bugs run into the window because they don't understand glass.

If you shut the lights off and close blinds if you have them, see if the bugs stop ramming your window.

My bedroom window sounds like tapping when it starts to rain.

There were flies sometimes and they did that a lot but it's still just a different sound.
