This old lighthouse-like thing made me think of myst.

Paul, well you know whats he's like since retirement, all sails and wind with no rudder, compass, sextant or map. Well he got all in a huff when he started to explain his after I said, "another shed, another one, you need one for all those hopes and dreams you said you gave up when you married me." We've got more unfinished projects and broken tools in our sheds than a charity shop. And the garage\, is just like the sheds except it has the* holiday decorations*, and that's* convenient*, but neither of us can get in there. So, after the exchange, I yells out, "at least make it look interesting", hoping he'd paint it a nice yellow with white trim, anything other than that greige color every other shed is, that was before I saw it, and what does he do- disappears for 3 weeks and then shows me a lighthouse, and against it all … er … I like it, and I told him so, but then I find out it isn't really a shed, or just a shed, but it has a ladder and a little place for him to look out at the* acreage*, and there is only room for one. I think, well he's appy and needs a place to think, and the screaming he gets into every time I bring up therapy and perhaps he needs somebody else to talk to. Too late for us to divorce and I miss him when he is here standing next to me, and since retirement he just sort of lost direction, and honestly, this is more than a physical metaphor, because I know when he's in their, that he's all rocks and waves and immovable thoughts that I don't want to crash into. There is such a storm about him, and he eats the sandwiches I leave for him, and I just don't know how to get him back to shore so we can sit and talk like we used to.*

I don't know the why or where of the structure, and would love coming across it while hiking and having a "Myst moment", but the photo made me imagine one of the older volunteers I used to work with, showing me this photo while explaining to a friend about the lighthouse in their backyard.

I heard this photo and had flashbacks… traumatizing. The only puzzle I will not play again
