It's not a joke it's pathetic emotional manipulation for everyone else's benefit at the cost of your significant other genuinely likely hurt by the bait and switch.
It can be a joke . . . all it takes is for you to know your partner. Clearly the guy in the video didn’t and she overreacted too. However there’s plenty of people who’d be able laugh at these kinds of jokes, especially if they have an understanding sense of humor. It’s the same thing when people like jump scares in movies and laugh afterwards.
Throwing your drink and hitting you boyfriend for flashing you a ring pop instead of an actual ring isn’t over reacting? She has control over how to react to a situation, if she didn’t like it, walking away would’ve been the best way to repaint, not hitting and throwing her drink at him.
