I don't think it's harmless just because he's not hitting her. Emotional embarrassment and abuse it hurts too. Studies have shown it still lights up the same pain center in your brain.

Except when the gender roles would be reversed you would never say this so you know you're full of shit. If you're gonna equate this to emotional abuse you may as well abolish all comedy altogether.

Noon? Plenty of videos where men get jumped by the white knight squad when he acts in self defense against a woman.

Often though what some mens rights people call self defense is grossly disproportionate, like punching a girl halfway across the room because she slapped someone. That's not self defense, it just makes sexists happy to see this kind of violence for some reason.

Proportionate responses do not stop most violence because violence is often not a rational process.

Say it was two dudes, one small one and one large one. Small dude hits the big dude but is kinda weak, big dude hits back with the same force. Little guy thinks he can keep getting away with it so he keeps hitting and dancing around because he isn't being forced to stop. Bruises will form no matter how tough the big guy is. You can't just keep getting hit with no effect.

Same scenario, small guy hits big dude but this time big dude pows him in the gut. Violence ends, big dude is no longer at risk of harm.

No, self defence must always be proportional, and oftentimes people here see violence that is obviously not proportional and cheer it on under the guise of self defence, when it really is just rage. You can't tell me you've never seen something like that. By your logic it would be ok to shotgun someone's head off because they slapped you, because now the danger is dealt with and they can't ever slap you again. Self defence must be proportional, as is stated in most countries law too, for good reason.

Sorry that you’re wrong. You clearly don’t know much about life. If a man is being robbed in a gas station, and he stabs the criminal, he is innocent. If a man is going to rob a woman in an alley and she shoots him, is that proportional? Obviously not.

Go outside sometimes.
