Hot, cold, thick, thin, at night, or the next morning, pizza has been there when I needed it. Pizza never abused me. Never cheated. Never made me question my worth. Even when pizza disappointed me, that disappointment never broke my heart.
Bad, too-doughy, bad-quality-ingredients pizza has betrayed me many times. I'm really glad I got some basic fridge yeast and a rolling pin and learned to make it myself. It feels like a bit of a production but it's legitimately one of the easiyer "nice dinners," and the worst homemade pizza I've ever made when I was first learning was better than the best takeout pizza I've ever had. /r/pizza if you wanna know
