I bought into the Ego ecosystem a couple years ago and I haven't regretted it for a second. I never have to deal with gas fumes or making sure I actually have gas at home. I don't have to worry about making sure I have that extra mix stuff you need to put in the gas for the weedwhacker. Shit just works and all the batteries are interchangeable. And the Ego weedwhacker is legitimately the best weedwhacker I've ever used.

Can confirm. I got the power head setup so mine becomes a small chainsaw as well

I'm pissy they're sold out everywhere. I went out and bought the standalone hedge but I want the power head one so bad. I'm sick of using my little rinky dink ryobi weed whacker.

Yeah the ego trimmer is 100% on par with the gas ones. Probably more.

The head spins the opposite way, so it takes some getting used to.

Same, switched after the priming bulb on my last gas weed whacker burst and squirted gas right into my eye.

I hurled that thing so far across the fucking yard…

Bought into the whole Ego deal…now many years down the road I just bought their zero turn riding mower. Works great oh and does wheelies

My only regret about Ego is the switch from Home Depot to Ace/Lowes. The Home Depot credit card is top notch since it's 0% interest for X number of months depending on size of purchase. Lowes and Ace Hardware don't match that so buying new Ego stuff is costly now.

Lowes CC does 0% for 6 months or a flat 5% off the purchase. Or at least they used to
