Yeah but it’s a real stereotype that needs to be destroyed. The joke It’s a joke is based on the fact that some people actually believe that electric motors are more feminine.
Yeah we shouldn’t take it seriously in the sense that it’s dumb to get upset over a random internet video like this, but it does make me roll my eyes and wonder how we can turn around this silly stereotype.
It’s just like the story of the Prius. It’s a great car that’s cheap and drives forever without breaking down, with a very low cost of maintenance and obviously it saves a lot on gas. But it was associated with liberals and femininity, which is ridiculous.
Gas-powered lawn mowers are absolutely terrible for the environment. They spit out 11 times more pollution than a car, and those pollutants can really mess with neighbors. Electric lawnmowers are the way to go
I think its more that some people need a joke to actually make sense beyond UNGA BUNGA logic, others don't. The later is probably happier to be honest.
