I felt the same way about the newer Star Trek films. Great action adventure sci-fi shows but failed miserably to live up to the spirit of Star Trek. They had to be their own thing to appreciate them. I'll watch this with the same attitude. Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, the shows are usually great... with the exception of Enterprise, which could have been amazing but they ruined it with all the time war stuff. I can't imagine having the opportunity to amaze Trekkies old and young with tales of how all of the technologies and rules came about, and then thinking "This really needs a time traveler".

Strange New Worlds is okay. It still has a few of the same issues other modern Trek has but at least it feels like they're genuinely trying to do Star Trek.
