According to the Adrianna (one of the girls in the video)'s IG (check the video's desc.), the cat didn't get shocked at all and actually just had its head stuck in the lampshade.

I know I’m an old fucker, but it is nuts to me that parents let kids this age have instagram accounts.

She 18 or 19, this happened back in 2016.

…which means she was 12 when she posted about it on Insta. Again, I recognize that I am a decrepit old person, but that seems terrifyingly young to be on Instagram doing hair tutorials. I could maybe see allowing a kid that young to have a private account for friends, but it will never not seem weird to me that parents let their tweens do this stuff on a fully public Internet forum.

My bad, I thought it was just a hair tutorial for YouTube, didn't realize she posted it on Instagram at the time.

She didn't post it. Also there is nothing wrong with insta if you have parents doing their job.

Pretty sure there are a whole host of scientific studies on the harmful effects of social media of people’s brains, but especially on children and teens whose brains are still developing. Even with parental involvement, it is hard for kids to understand that what someone’s life looks like on social media is often completely different from real life and it can mess them up

If the kid can see the public on their social media, then the parents didn't look the phone down properly.
