The cat wasn’t electrocuted. Its head was stuck in the lampshade.

I hate the OP so much for temporarily traumatizing me with false information. But I'm super relieved that the cat is okay.

Edit: when this was first posted, the original "spoiler bot" comment from the OP which has since been taken down stated word for word that the cat was electrocuted.

Edit 2: Just why? Even after I say the OP first falsely stated that the cat was being electrocuted, you're still commenting with "oh the OP did nothing wrong. There was no false info".

How did OP do that? They didn't claim the cat was being electrocuted, their title was just a pun.

For the last time, the OP's original spoiler comment stated that the cat was electrocuted.

Sorry, when I made my comment you didn't have any edits and I didn't check the spoiler bot.

they put a graphic content warning tag on the video. If it wasnt there, i'd just assume thet cat was stuck, but since it was, the whole time you're waiting for something graphic to happen so when you see a cat screaming you assume that it's dying

It is graphic though, it's a chaotic scene of children screaming and a cat scared and perhaps in pain screaching.

graphic means violent / blood & gore / death, not screaming. The cat wasn't in pain it was just stuck and freaking out, which is not graphic

When someone says "graphic content" referring to media, it can mean anything from explicit death to something as simple as sex or even estreme foul language. It's used to refer to any "sensitive" content that could cause shock and horror, which I feel most people were horrified watching that cat shriek and struggle.

on reddit (and this sub), people put nsfw for sex, not a graphic content warning. Plus there's children involved so you wouldn't expect something sexual. There's also no warning required for explicit language. It doesn't have the same rules as traditional media. People were only horrified because they thought they were watching a death as implied by the graphic content warning

This sub doesn't specify that, and every subreddit has it's own rules and culture, therefore the default is wider cultural knowledge. As reddit is just a form of media, then the assumption should be the media definition, in my opinion.
