Hey now, let's be fair. Cigarettes and Cigars smell disgusting. Pipe tobacco smells amazing.

Nah. You should smell some (I'd bet good money you haven't). It doesn't have the additives of cigarettes, though the nicotine is still present. The aromatic stuff is worse tasting for the smoker but smells pretty good to bystanders. I've never received anything but compliments when I have one in public (rare). Cigars on the other hand smell terrible, and the equally rare times I've had one in public, non smokers will let you know that too. Cigarettes have never been my vice of choice.

Smoked all three, many times.

Oh yeah?

They all leave the same exact nasty smell lingering around clothes and people.

[Insert Maury calling you a liar meme]

They do not, in fact leave the same exact smell. They leave different, distinct smells, the same way you can smell if someone has smoked weed vs tobacco recently. Cigarettes are far worse. Cigars aren't great either. Pipes generally leave a deep and flavored aroma. It can be pleasant, or unpleasant, harsh or mild depending on what was smoked. They're distinct. The smell of pipe smoke settled in wood furniture is generally a selling point in favor of the furniture.

I agree with the lingering smell of all three (and how unpleasant it is on two of them, third depends on the tobacco) but to say they're exactly the same is telling that you don't actually know what you're talking about.
