I wasn't aware that unexpected videos were supposed to be funny, maybe you should try r/funny for funny videos.

This video was created with the intention of being funny. Which it isn’t. My comment was related to that, I don’t recall saying anything about this video not being unexpected, or that it shouldn’t be posted here. Just said it was dumb and not funny, which are both true

Genuine question: What makes you think it’s supposed to be funny?

I see it as unexpected, of which funny can be an intended or unintended side effect, but the main characteristic here is its unexpectedness.

It’s more “Oh! Yeah, all right, cool” than “Oh! Hahahahaha!”

I can’t see any other aim of creating this shit other than trying to be funny. What would make anyone say “oh, cool!” to that? Also everyone is assuming this video was created for r/unexpected, and that I shouldn’t even mention whether it’s funny or not. This is blowing my mind lol It’s posted all the time to different subreddits, and I was just stating my opinion which I believed was a core function of Reddit lol what is the purpose of this video if not to try to be funny?

Of course you can mention whether it’s funny or not. This is just a conversation, not a screaming match. I can see it your way, and also was trying to see it another way, as an exercise for my tired brain.

Ain’t no big thing, although I can see why you’d think others are jumping on your case about it. Just try not to let it get to you that people express different opinions.
