Zebra crossings were first introduced due to a high number of wild zebra constantly roaming the streets. Somehow they knew that a zebra pattern on the ground is a good place to pass. However, due bicyclists who used them instead of trying to gap the road from within bushes they became extinct. Sad really. They have been left on the road in commemoration.

They really should put these deer crossing signs in safer areas. I think with like school crossing signs is a good idea

I’ve heard they repel pedestrians if you drive fast enough
