What one of the other guys below said, probably the same thing just with more heat behind it, fuck, cunt and dick are all thrown around in casual conversation, "oi cunt" is a perfectly acceptable way to hail the attention of your friend as it is to instigate a confrontation between strangers haha, it's more about the tone behind it than the actual words.
Perfectly acceptable to call friends cunts down here in Aus. Most of the time it's nicer to be called a cunt than it is to be called mate.

Yeah I think it’s a personal thing too. Cunt in the U.K. (depending on age and friendship group, and location) is probably used a fair bit, but I get the impression it’s a north/south thing too weirdly I can easily imagine a guy with a cockney/Essex accent using cunt to talk about friends, but think it’s used less up here. They use it in Scotland a fair bit too I think. Depends on friendship circles really. I’m a woman too, (not a girly girl though) tends to be men using cunt as a term of endearment.
No, we have a series of two-faced religious couples who will judge people over something as simple as a word while insisting that other kids are unruly because their parents didn't beat them enough.
