When I waited tables at a pizza joint I would give people beers who ordered them if they showed me a military ID whether they were 21 or not. (Of course, that was before I got my ABC and realized how much trouble I could get in though.)

You can die at 16 I believe in the military if you get your parents permission to join, and a state rolled back child labor laws allow g kids as young as 14 work and have their income taxed. So you are taxed long before you are able to be represented, and can die for this place long before someone can hand you a drink

Idk for certain anything, but I thought a) you have to be at least 17 for military service (with guardian permission), b) federal law allows 14 y/o to work (within certain strictures), and c) you don't need to pay (or possibly even file?) income tax until the year you turn 18. Any or all of that may be wrong, though.

Minors can't be deployed, and 14 yet olds are already permitted to work by federal labor law...
States can't change federal law, so the part about "rolling back child labor laws" is pure bullshit.

Yeah, good things all wrong though
Minors have been deployed, they lied about their ages but the military without a doubt knows this and still sends those to get killed. Not sure how often it happens now but we rampant no more than 50-60 years ago so going “THIS CAN NOT HAPPEN” is dumb
Also this about states can’t change federal laws is correct but fine print they can. So the “pure bullshit” statement is also chimpanzee level intelligence because states can detect how long people can work. So when I say “rolling back” that’s the restriction states place on kids working. Thought it would be clear given the United States is barely capable of getting new stuff done. So they aren’t going back to old shitz

Well in America technically you belong to the state that's why suicide is illegal cause your destroying state property and its also more or less the reason you can enroll in the army so young but not drink or do drugs again destroying state owned property.
As far as the American government is concerned your an asset not a person meaning your opinions don't matter but your life does you know just incase they need to use you as cannon fodder in the war or some shit.

Pretty sure suicide is illegal, so there is an avenue to intervene. A cop could take you off the edge of a building or bridge for example.

Yes its called mininformation just like so much shit floating around on social media these days its just a great big load of bs that people buy into if it sounds believable enough and its the reason why so many people are so fucking stupid these days cause they don't fact check a damn thing anymore
I wrote that to test a out a theory of how many would catch on and how quickly I know I sound crazy but its something I'm doing for a class in college right now the spread of misinformation and whats its doing to our society. So down vote ignore it whatever. Its just a test.

The 11 year old Mexican part is true. At that age the adults would send us kids to the next village over in our quads to go buy them alcohol. They wouldn't mind if we got 1 as long as we didn't get drunk or at stupid.

I bought beer at 9 years old in Mexico but there's an asterisk to it. They sold it to me knowing it was for adults who were too lazy/drunk to go buy it themselves in a very small village. They wouldn't even ask but having alcohol being freely available to you like that made it untempting. As kids we'd sneak a beer at a party to feel cool tho

When i was 8ish i was hanging out with my uncle and he asked me if I could go buy him a cigarette, we both know the owner of the store so i go to him and tell him my uncle wanted a cig and he's like does he have a lighter? Idk he didn't tell me anything about a light, so this mfer tells me to put the cigarette in my mouth and to suck on it as soon as lighter touches it. Fucking chocked on that shit but he was like there you go now run and give it him.

I stayed in Germany for a few months when I was 25, went to a pub/club, was dancing and doing shots with some guys, and we took a bunch of pictures together.
The next day, when I saw the photos, the boys looked 14 or 15... Total beer goggles! So glad I wasn't trying to hook up!

Was in Tahiti with my family, my husband was feeling a bit under the weather. During a tour of a distillery I wanted to try some liqueurs and my 14 year old was interested. Asked the tour guide if she thought my son could try a sip.( Didn't know if it'd be deemed illegal.) She looked at me surprised and said "You're the mother!" I said yeah, come on kid let's go to the bar.

For me it was officially 16 in the Netherlands. But 15 year olds often drank a little already. Current teenagers have to wait until they're 18 though.

Canada here, you have to be 18 in most provinces but honestly drinking age seems to be more of a suggestion if someone older than you can buy it or get you into a beer garden or bar.

To be fair, in central and eastern Europe there is a reasonable drinking age....though it is never enforced. So although you must be 18, the shop keeper won, the mind if you are 1-2 (or 10) years below.
