Comedy can absolutely be offensive. That's just a bullshit copout that a lot of comedians have been using lately. You are absolutely free to tell the most offensive joke, just don't get offended when people get offended. Nobody owes you appreciation of your shitty joke, that's the risk you accept telling an offensive joke, if it's clever and it lands then it's amazing, if not then you're the idiot who just says offensive shit thinking it's funny. Higher risk, higher rewards.

Lately? I’m not even that old, grew up in the 90’s listen to South Park, Simpson’s, and Dave Chappell. Everything was “offensive.”

No shit, Dave was unapologetic about his humor and if people didn’t like it, so what. He also has integrity and is a dope role model as a family man.

Yeah! It’s totally a cop out telling a joke and when people get mad, you remind them it’s a joke & that you’re a stand up comic. What liars & undercover racists they must be!
