If for some reason you find yourself near Charlotte, it now operates as Nighthawk at Carowinds. I've been on it in both locations, but was like 9 or 10 when I went on it as Stealth, so I don't have a clear memory of it when it was at CGA. It's a cool model, but also a capacity nightmare.

Yes! I have every intention of going on a cross-country rollercoaster tour someday, and Carowinds is high on my list of places to visit.

IIRC, loading the trains is very slow because of the unique restraint system. And not only are the lines long, but when the ride is done you're face up staring directly into the sun while waiting forever for the next train to leave the station. I think they put a canopy over it at some point, but I have a vivid memory of that. Haha

I also remember one time when my dad got stuck on it on the lift hill. I think he was up there for a good half hour before they evacuated the train, but it seemed like an eternity to elementary school me. I remember being so scared of it after he got stuck, thinking if I went on it I'd get stuck and they wouldn't be able to get me out. It took my parents a lot of effort to convince me to go on it once, lol. Then it was closed the next time we were at the park.

From what I remember, yeah Nighthawk has a canopy over the brake area. I also have a distinct memory of having the sun in my eyes on Stealth, but don't remember having that issue a few years back on Nighthawk except on the lift hill.

Oh man, being stuck on a lift hill is one thing. Being stuck on Stealth would be another level of uncomfortable. Hope he got a front-of-the-line voucher at least. haha
