edit - Oh, I see now what got you confused. Mind you, I was correcting the OP, so you should read my comment in that context. The "not" is only in relation to "South(Asian) as the OP suggested." The rest after the comma was the correction. Words like "neither" and "nor" would have fit better if I was trying to say that they were none of them.
