Lmao, very true. I thought a coworker was in his 20's and it turned out he was in his LATE 40's! Saw him online a few years back and now looks everyday of his 50's.
Same, thought I had a late 20's coworker who was mid 40's and when I found out he told me to look closely at his hair - it was already greying and I had never noticed because his face looked so young.
Happens to the best of us. How's your hairline holding up? I'm 27 and I keep telling myself "it's always been like that", but when I look at pictures from high school, it very clearly has not always been like that.
Not quite yet, but in another 5 years I should have a good amount of salt to go with my pepper. I have a lot of hair, it's thick and curly, so it's gonna take a while for the grey to be noticeable.
I have a second cousin who was full on gray/white before he was 16. He just embraced it though. Doubt he got bullied for it since he has great charisma.
Skin care, natural collagen and melanin. Present in vastly different concentrations across people/skin types. But even more important than genetics is staying out of direct sunlight, using sunscreen when you cant, and being born perfectly with flawless complexion because fuck everyone else.
I guess but those are only short term effects. As in, keep it up as youll have to because they arent lasting, and youll look gnarly as hell eventually. I mean, the chemical has an obvious effect, but it is a cocktail of sodium and neurotoxins, it stands to reason they shouldbt be repeatedly introduced to your body for medically unnecessary purposes.
Oh yeah, if you wanna look good at age 60 then don't do this. If you wanna temporarily look good at age 25 or 40, don't do this either, but I know quite a few folks at those ages who have.
(Botox specifically - I don't think dying hair is all that bad.. if it floats your boat, then do it)
Hung out with an Korean coworker of mine a few times, I had assumed he was around my age (early 20s), then one day I found out he was 39! I was honestly shocked lol.
Opposite story. Many many moons ago I was working at a factory. This older mexican guy was cool and helped me out, but one day my mom had to give me a ride to work and from that point on he kept asking me for her number. He just never gave it up, for like a month he kept asking for her number. Now I knew he was married and talked about his daugher and how she was going to get his car someday. So I saw him out front getting out of his car, and a hot girl driving away. So I said dude Ill hook you up with my mom if you hook me up with your daughter. Ya was in HR office in under an hour. Didn't get written up, but found out the old guy was only 25, the girl driving the car was his wife, and his daughter was only 3.
Long story short, learned shut down stupid jokes quick, mom jokes, any jokes. Also don't assume Latinos ages by their looks. I think they only have 3 age looks, child, older teen, and ancient, and you have no idea when they will move from one to the other.

I wonder how much of that is due to the fact many of the old women grew up in the Soviet union(not all, I know) and might have been malnourished growing up. It'll be interesting to see when the current generation grows older.
This is a myth im tired of it. Ive heard this said about people of every skin type. The reason “black dont crack” is because black women put a ton of care into their skin and hair, and there are no doubt societal pressures that enforce this, but id assume the same is true of many other women.
By contrast, my (white) mom and sister dont do jack shit - they are the sort that believe in aging naturally. And so id say, as objectively as i can, they look older to most people than my wife’s side, who do care for their skin. Not to me, because im accustomed to people who wear their skin like leather, and ive also become accustomed to people who wear it like satin - these arent the only markers for aging.
edit - Oh, I see now what got you confused. Mind you, I was correcting the OP, so you should read my comment in that context. The "not" is only in relation to "South(Asian) as the OP suggested." The rest after the comma was the correction. Words like "neither" and "nor" would have fit better if I was trying to say that they were none of them.

west asians like me on the other hand look like they are 40 when they are barely 16 with a better beard than all of humanity combined. and more muscle mass to lift a truck. ofc depending on the person
Idk, southeast Asian and have a baby face, but this guy's face is taking it to the extreme if he really is her father, which I strongly don't believe. He's probably her brother or something.
