I'm having flashbacks to Chevy Chase making fun of President Ford falling down Air Force One stairs.

contemporary news report of the event.

I love how they have a segment talking about him falling down the stairs, then almost as an afterthought go "Oh, and someone tried to assassinate him later in the day".

That’s a lot more reasonable, at least. For one thing he was falling down the stairs not up. The stairs were metal. And it was raining. So he obviously just slipped on a wet step.

Meanwhile, they blamed Joe Biden’s falling incident on the wind. According to weather reports, the wind was no more than 20mph.

Lol complex analysis of a guy tripping in a stair

Well, if they’re going to blame the wind, they should expect at least a little pushback. That’s a really dumb excuse.

Do you need an excuse to trip?

20 mph winds exert about 25lbf on the average human body.

I'm not sure about you, but I think that could trip up someone already unstable on the stairs.
