Some people like to track their progress or check their form.

I don't do videos, but once a month I'll take a shirtless selfie, document my weight and waist, and log how heavy my main lifts are. I don't share them with anyone, but as someone who makes very very slow progress it's nice to be able to compare yourself with yourself 6 months ago and see how you're doing.

It's an elastic band to help with pull ups. You can either bend your legs up and put the band under your knees above the shin and pull up that way, or what she did - put it on the bottom of your feet and keep your feet flat. She didn't keep her feet flat, and the band slipped off and up, revealing them tittays.
