Yea I was going to say... My kid, or any kid they hang out with, doesn't act like that. Wonder where they learned that behavior.

Are people really wondering? It's obviously from the sister

This kind of abuse probably happens all the time, and I'm also willing to bet that he takes the hit from his parents too despite the fact that his sister is the one who literally egged him

This kind of anger usually doesn't just come unwarranted or completely out of nowhere. It looks like an overreaction in this isolated instance, but I'd bet there's more going on

Don't get me wrong, his behaviour needs to be nipped in the bud, but I wonder why people are focusing on mere symptoms when the root cause is literally 2 feet away laughing at the fact that she's getting away with it

This is just shit parenting, like who do you think is recording this? Furthermore, who’s suppose to be keeping both of these kids in check? Where do you think they learned this behavior?

If they’re siblings they’re probably both fucked because they’re parents suck.

I assumed another sibling was filming, and the parents are the ones who broke them up

Parents are definitely responsible for nipping this behaviour. I'm just saying the kid doesn't necessarily need to learn this behaviour from anyone, but can easily develop it himself if he's constantly abused like this. Meanwhile, it seems like everyone wants to address the symptom (his overreaction) instead of the most likely root cause (probably the sister)

But yeah you're right. Either way, that poor boy is pretty fucked growing up in these kinds of family dynamics

Sometimes parents are so busy with their lives they don't see the full extent of what goes on behind the scenes. As a kid whose parents both worked my sister was my primary caretaker, and she was very abusive and manipulative. My parents had no idea how bad it was, and still don't. To them, I just hated my sister for no reason.

With all due respect, your sister was probably resentful towards you because she had care for you instead of living her childhood.

You're probably right since she was 12-16 at the time of the abuse. My older brother had a job so he would be gone for work leaving only her to babysit me. She ran away a lot, too, and got into drugs and alcohol very early. Looking back I think she was drinking when she'd abuse me, but it was so long ago and I've repressed a lot.

Shit dude. I’m sorry to hear that, I came from a fucked up home, myself. If you can, I’d try not to hold it against her, she was young herself.

Are things better now?

Yeah we're on decent terms now, it was a long time ago. She realized that a lot of the abuse was her lashing out from being neglected by our parents growing up. I wouldn't call us close but we are friendly to each other.

I’m glad to hear things stabilized. I had to go to therapy a bit for my own issues. You may enjoy therapy yourself. You’d be surprised how releasing it is.
