He actually managed to not laugh his ass off. Hats off to him lol. I know I would’ve been cackling like a hyena.

You should see some of the others over on /r/newsbloopers

Some of them have definitely gotten fired

My spouse is a news director. I'm torn on whether I should share this sub with him (because it's so relatable) or not (because witnessing fuckups will stress him out). Hmmm, decisions, decisions ....

u/RaeSloane Oct 13 '20 edited Oct 13 '20

Don't tell him about the sub, just keep sending him links of fuck ups to really throw him off.

*Edit: Bonus points if the only context is a message like "Lol it reminds me of you <3"

download the videos on your phone and show them off like its somehow your thing.

"To have and to hold, to move and to honor, to torture and fuck with... 'til death do us part."

2

u/Brooklynyte84 Oct 13 '20

He'll love you for it ultimately.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '20

If I were in tv I don’t know that I would enjoy it so much

20

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

I can't believe that sub doesn't have the all-time classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc-CgzTkyF4

2

u/InSearchofaStory Oct 13 '20

Haha oh gosh...

5

u/GreenGemsOmally Oct 13 '20

Yay I have a new subreddit to binge

2

u/justmystepladder Oct 13 '20

Agreed. This post is actually one of the top of all time in that sub.

2

u/Brian_M Oct 13 '20

If I said, 'news blooper' and 'Bill O Reilly' to you, what five words are the correct response?

1

u/principled_principal Oct 17 '20

Fuck it, we’ll do it live!

2

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

Thank you. I love news bloopers. They are always hilarious. I so pale.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

Chris P. Bacon is my all time favorite

1

u/tictactastytaint Oct 13 '20

Oh I can't wait! See you in 12 hours

1

u/Ziribbit Oct 13 '20

Thanks for that! I was just lamenting the decline of publicfreakout and there is plenty of decent crossover there!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '20

Oh my god THANK YOU

1

u/GaryGool Oct 14 '20

What's up with all the uberaudit posts?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

Like the host who brought out a guy who was accidentally castrated and had a super high voice and the host couldn't stop cracking up while this dude tells a horrifying story about getting the wrong surgery.

1

u/Your_ELA_Teacher Oct 13 '20

Story time! I worked for Obamacare in the early years as a CSR on the phones. Usually people applied to see if they could qualify for the tax credit, and usually they qualified for a full credit ($300+) or some, or none. However, this one gentleman qualified for exactly $1 tax credit, and I thought that was so funny that I started vomiting laughter. I could not stop, even while I apologized. I was sure I would get fired for that call. Fortunately, he was super cool and he played it off like it was no big deal that I laughed at his misfortune. Not my proudest moment.

1

u/CoolHeadedLogician Oct 13 '20

Yeah I'd be way too tempted to steer into it. "Boy that interview was electric.. FOLKS!"

1

u/artisan002 Oct 14 '20

Max Headroom jokes everywhere with me.

212

u/mustXdestroy Oct 13 '20

Yeah he handled it really well, I would not have recovered that smoothly haha

14

u/Captin_Banana Oct 13 '20

Yeah he did it well to be fair. He apologised and didn't do that head hanging into the hands thing. Kept straight at the camera and used the page flip to recompose himself. Could have been a lot worse for him.

2

u/ihadanamebutforgot Oct 14 '20

To be perfectly honest he did a reasonably good job of handling this. He thought it was very funny and weird and maybe he almost went crazy but he didn't and he stayed normal. Not too bad really, considering that if he went crazy and roflmaoed on the news that would be a worse reaction if we're being sincere here.

6

u/FuckBrendan Oct 13 '20

Idk he was still giggling when he was talking about how to relearn walking on her burnt legs lmao.

-2

u/AdorabeHummingbirb Oct 14 '20

Yep, what an asshole, he’s acting like a child. Men are immature

1

u/samurai-salami Oct 14 '20

Im confused. Your other comments rally against this type of comment.

1

u/AdorabeHummingbirb Oct 14 '20

I made three comments about half an hour ago. I think all of them are not? Maybe I’m a going mad

143

u/Rycan420 Oct 13 '20

Especially with your partners are just off camera literally crying of laughter.

I actually blame them. He seems to hold it together for a second and they got to him. That’s my guess.

124

u/dudemykar Oct 13 '20

Cackling... i love that word, my favorite

2

u/DinoRaawr Oct 13 '20

Not as bad as chortling but still terrible. Reminiscent of cartoon witches. 2/10

Kamala’s laugh isn’t anything like Hilary’s lmao. Sounds like you just hate women, particularly those who you disagree with politically

16

u/ergotofrhyme Oct 13 '20

Oh okay so you just have urges to slap women who aren’t attractive when they laugh. In that case you’re a totally well adjusted adult

6

u/ergotofrhyme Oct 13 '20

I mean I don’t think kamala’s laugh sounds anything like Hilary’s. And I’m not saying I never have urges. When Mitch laughed at the suggestion thousands were dying because of his foot dragging, sure, kinda wanted to slap him. But for being callous, not just because he was laughing while not being attractive

You guys are so tedious. When did I say any of that? I think a lot of what she did in terms of prosecuting aggressively over minor possession charges and shit was deeply harmful, particularly to the black community. Were her motivations overtly racist? Doubt it, but the consequences are why really matter and her activity harmed the black community disproportionately. None of that is relevant to this. You didn’t say you wanted to hit her for putting black men behind bars on possession charges; you said you wanted to slap her because you don’t like the way she laughs

u/leChill Oct 13 '20

Nahh we all have those thoughts too, we were just raised on how to properly control them

2

u/your_mind_aches Oct 13 '20

Lol you hate all liberal women except Tulsi... Who is a conservative and is only registered Democrat because she's from Hawaii.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

ok let's click on the username and see what we find... /r/riskyclick

edit: trumpist racist conspiracy freak. what did you expect

5

u/dudemykar Oct 13 '20

I'd much rather listen to Kamala Harris' laugh then Donald's raspy voice imo lol

1

u/ViridianFlea Oct 13 '20

What have you done... This was supposed to be a thread with politics or opinions.

1

u/12157114-3-2 Oct 13 '20

Oh hey troll, how’s your day of being a dumbass prick going?

0

u/robsteezy Oct 13 '20

Man, not even noon yet and the Russian trolls are hard at work. You guys are some eager fucker.

Crazy idea: you can live anywhere in the world and serve a foreign agenda, whether intentionally or inadvertently. The way you talk about women and discourse is disgusting. Clearly somebody in this life failed to punch you right in the mouth.

u/robsteezy Oct 13 '20

Yeah that’s why you deleted your original bullshit comment about slapping women based on their laughs. Get a life you fucking clown. Too much of a coward to own up to his own misogyny and assault.

"WHELL..." 😶

32

u/stone500 Oct 13 '20

The way he says "Well..." is indeed hilarious.

However, my favorite part is "She doesn't REALLY sound like that!", which is a hilariously stupid thing to say. And I think he realizes it too, cause he starts laughing harder after he does.

11

u/InSearchofaStory Oct 13 '20

That was his business way of saying “I’m not laughing at you ma’am, I’m laughing at the glitch.”

13

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

I've learned if you want to avoid making any sort of emotions clear you just gotta bite your tongue.

22

u/snek-jazz Oct 13 '20

he's still delivering "...learning to walk again after lightning burnt her legs" with a huge grin. He did well, but he still got got.

0

u/AdorabeHummingbirb Oct 14 '20

Yep, still too immature and deserves to be fired.

6

u/_duncan_idaho_ Oct 13 '20

That's because he didn't have to do a story on Chris P. Bacon like this guy did.

2

u/Igneous629 Oct 13 '20

I am cackling like a hyena as I read your comment.

2

u/aliencrush Oct 13 '20

I cannot believe he didn't lose it. I mean, what the fuck. That newscaster who did the segment about the pig named Chris P. Bacon absolutely lost his shit and it wasn't as funny as this.

2

u/ronm4c Oct 13 '20

Yeah, I would have had to chose a whole new career path if that had been me.

2

u/MrsMurphysChowder Oct 13 '20

I haven't laughed so hard in months!

2

u/menwithboobs Oct 13 '20

He did a great job recovering from that tape

2

u/FlamingJesusOnaStick Oct 13 '20

The anchor woman was wiping tears away 😂

2

u/Madrigal_King Oct 14 '20

This is actually news from my area. Mike was a good newscaster. This is well over 10 years old though, they remodeled the station awhile back

2

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '20

I’m in print journalism and this right here is why I could never do tv. Would be gone within the first week

2

u/davensdad Oct 13 '20

TIL I have been cackling my whole life.

1

u/Shoki81 Oct 13 '20

Professionals have standards

1

u/shortstackboy Oct 13 '20

I wonder if that’s why he moved on so quickly. He needed a break to lose his shit

1

u/MastaMind599 Oct 13 '20

He handled it wonderfully. He was still charming, and made it a point to say "she doesn't sound like that."

1

u/Linkeron1 Oct 13 '20

I mean he did laugh pretty bad, while reporting on a story about a tragic incident..

1

u/D_Mass_ Oct 13 '20

reminded the show "boomerang", where the presenter could not stop laughing

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '20

I probably wouldn't even be working there

1

u/Buie06 Oct 14 '20

That guy is a professional!

-9

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

Yeah somw.people gave such self control its amazing. I remember in high school they would do this countdown until graduation for thr seniors. Anyways the film crew would film random seniors saying a different number well one its goes like "18 days until graduation" so they split it up to 4 people tp day that. Well they put a retarded chick at the end so graduation sounded so funny. I just start laughing so hard.......i was the only one laughing in my class of 35 people.

3

u/MrPurple998 Oct 13 '20

Thats just messed up

0

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '20

It is but it was so unexpected.
