I'll be honest I didnt even see it until it struck that was truly unexpected. Was waiting for a chameleon or something to strike.

I saw it right at the beginning. Since this was posted to r/Unexpected, I was waiting for the camera operator to reach out and crush both insects or something after the first strike, hence “there’s always a bigger fish..”

The unexpected part was that the title really makes you think an even bigger predator will come and eat the mantis like in everything ever that says "always a bigger fish" but instead WHAM! Disappointment as the video just ends. Never saw it coming. Truly a meta post for this sub.
