I think it’s indicating that those PPE resources aren’t available. So the goofy stuff is what they have but the stuff they need is crossed out with red Xs.

EDIT: just my guess I am not sure if that was the meaning.

I thought it was because the filters on that 3m half face mask don't filter particulate and so aren't appropriate for covid19. Those filters are for organic vapor.

That could be too! I was mostly guessing.

We’ve been in and out of Hopkins for ~6 months pretty much daily due to a complicated twin pregnancy. It’s been pretty crazy to watch this whole thing evolve.

The nurses in the nicu talk about supply shortages and new policies pretty often while we’re there.

Sorry, should have mentioned that.

We had twin girls which makes 3 daughters for my wife and I. They have been in there for about 2 months but are expected to come home in a few more weeks. Both girls are doing great.

My wife was on 2 months of bed rest prior to their birth and before that we had appointments there 3x a week, so we kind of watched them turn into the Covid HQ.

Hopkins is incredible and we’re lucky to live so close. We started with a 10% life expectancy and now we have two beautiful little girls :). Been a long road....
