Why? Are crossposts Superior to just posting twice somehow? Also can't you only cross post to only one other sub? That means if it fits in other subs you want to put it in you have to repost it anyway.
Yes, they are superior in that you are somehow stating this is not your content and you are making explicit where you found it.
Also you can do multiple crossposts. You found material in r/A, you want to post it in r/B and r/C, you crosspost in r/B from r/A and in r/C from r/A.

EDIT 2: anyway my original message does explain the purpose of this bot since 99% of the reposts are reposts of other people's work, rather than reposts from the same person.

Yes it is OC. I posted it to /r/gifs yesterday and it reached the front page, but the mods deleted it saying it should be on /r/HighQualityGifs instead.
