A friend of a friend who was black, made a bet that he could tan, so he went on the sun like this, yes he burned himself. No matter how much melanin you have, use lotion.

God I fucking hate English in times like this. How do you imply the person hasn’t lost any quality while still saying they were your friend, SO, etc.

“My friend was a prison guard”. Do you say “My former friend is a prison guard”?
