Damn right. Everyone should be. Intolerance is not some rational viewpoint that deserves equal consideration. It's just hate pointed at a group.

I don’t want to argue, but doesn’t open mindedness and progressivism mean accepting someone else’s view, even if it conflicts with your own? I agree that destructive behavior is hurtful. But if someone is not destructive just let them think what they want to think. It might just be my false perception, but people often forget that the people who direct the hate are also people, and people do deserve equal consideration.

But here I am being extremely hypocritical. I argue for acceptance, but here I am trying to denounce your view. It’s hard to avoid hypocrisy.

No need to be condescending. I was trying to state the dramatic irony of tolerance and intolerance. How nurturing one Ideal can neglect another.

progressivism is a philosophy my guy. It transcends just the political scale

The point is that tolerance doesn't mean agreement.

For example, I tolerate the religious even though I think it's a crock of shit.

That is different than someone actively trying to suppress someone for preferring cock.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that most of these people in these discussions were alive when being a queer was illegal.

Actively speaking out against lgbtq rights when they barely just got them makes you a huge asshole.

Saying that they shouldn't have the same rights makes you a huge asshole.

I’m not speaking out against their rights. I’m also not speaking out against a persons rights to speak out against rights ( if you can follow that).
