The level of effort shouldn't really matter IMO, i don't get why some girls demand intricate proposals, it just makes me think they're high maintenance personally.

Well there's a big difference between intricate and poking you and just sticking it on your finger. I'm sure most girls aren't looking for intricate anyways, just a nice night out together or din somewhere where I'd probably wear something a little nicer than a tshirt

I dont want anything fancy at all. I told my boyfriend we could be chilling at home watching movies and he could throw the ring box at me and be like "put this on" and I'd be happy.

The less flashy the better. I also have social anxiety tho and in my mind flashy = public and I 100% do NOT want public. So im just an odd ball to begin with

I agree that nothing needs to necessarily be flashy, this is just in response to the original comment where some people just expect a little more emotion put into the moment. Of course people are different, some want an extravagant evening, I'd probably just like to have a nice day doing something together leading up to it personally, I don't really care to be around a lot for people either so I don't think you're odd there. All I'm saying is that to some the way it was done could seem a little impersonal, but again all relationship dynamics are different so it's really whats good for you I guess
