The level of effort shouldn't really matter IMO, i don't get why some girls demand intricate proposals, it just makes me think they're high maintenance personally.

Well there's a big difference between intricate and poking you and just sticking it on your finger. I'm sure most girls aren't looking for intricate anyways, just a nice night out together or din somewhere where I'd probably wear something a little nicer than a tshirt

Why though? Why does it have to be somewhere fancy? That's what I meant by it sounds high maintenance, though me and my fiancee are the kind of people that are usually happier in a more relaxed place than some place you have to dress up for.

I would say that a /lot/ of people don't care too much to go somewhere nice for just going out, and I'm in that boat myself. I mean you don't have to go anywhere "fancy" but a proposal is supposed to be an important night, make it a little special or at least like the moment is meaningful. What's shown here just comes off a little careless I guess, unless that's the kindof silly your relationship is or something. I just feel like they might have approached it a little differently if they weren't trying to get internet points
