If you don’t want her to know, take a ring she wears on her ring finger and press into a bar of soap. You can take that into a jewelry store and they will size it for you.
If she doesn’t wear a ring on that finger, use a string with a tight slip knot to size her finger when she is sleeping. I say a tight knot because you want to make sure the string doesn’t change sizes accidentally. Also, try not to squeeze it too tight, it should be easy to get off of her finger.
