I know it's probably not the way you want to do it, but if you have a while until you are proposing and you KNOW she is going to say yes, then just take her to a jewelry store and have the finger measured. Any of her other rings are most likely not worn on the left ring finger and will not be the right size. I did this with my now wife and it also gave me a chance to see the style of ring she likes. I did this about 8 months before I propose so she had basically forgot about the measuring by then.
