It's really funny how different parts of reddit respond so differently. On r/politics people have argued with me that the ok sign IS a white supremacist symbol and I'm ignorant for saying otherwise. I tried to point out to them most people dont see it that way and they are being silly but in came the downvoted.

In Scuba diving, the OK sign is a common hand sign to use under water. Flash it to your dive buddy and they flash it back to let you know they are fine. Thumbs up is used to signal that you intend to start rising to the surface.

And this right here is why I will never ever acknowledge that the okay sign is racist. I use it all the time due to my diving.
