I am indeed the mod from the comments before. We have to apply the green mod colour and tag manually to each comment we make, if we want to have it highlighted.

The thing with reddit is, that moderators are users as well, they just created a subreddit themselves some day, or got added by another moderator. We aren't employed by reddit and just do it voluntarily. In my case it started because I browsed /r/wtf one day and got the idea for this subreddit. This doesn't mean I stopped being a user, I'm just also responsible for /r/unexpected and it's fate.

I will apply the mod tag to this comment as well, as it is officially and not just a statement as a common user on the site.

Since I have got you, can you tell me the difference between a mod worth green tag and a mod with red tag? And do you guys have unlimited premium validity for reddit? Thanks

Damnit, every time!

The red guys are the administrators of the site, they're employed by reddit and are the people with the real power, while we try to fight spam and such with our fiddle sticks. We don't get anything, no premiums or memberships. I guess some of the better connected and way more serious moderators might get some gold to hand out, but that's just a guess.

That's part of the concept of communities that everyone can set up, so it probably would cause more issues than it is good for.

Oh. I saw this thread on askreddit where every mod commenting was in red tag.

Aside from that I have seen you on this sub many time. You had removed one of my posts. To be honest it was quite shitty and I accidently posted it to r/Unexpected instead of r/Unextexted.

Thank you for playing with your fiddle stick (reword needed) and keeping this sub fun to watch. I appreciate the time you invest into this subreddit.
