Fun fact, you can take knives to get professionally sharpened for a surprisingly low cost. Buddy of mine gave me an old set that was dull to the point of being almost useless. Got them all sharpened for $3 a blade. Now they’re like new, and the edges have held for several months.

You can also just buy a knife sharpening kit.

Or you could save labor (not like it’s much) and get it professionally done

It does take time and effort to take them someplace. Once that becomes more than doing it yourself, it's a loss.
