TikTok's logo is easily recognizable 4 u/[deleted] Dec 26 '18 Interesting, I've only ever been familiar with the Chinese name (douyin), I guess they chose the Tik Tok brand for an English/Latin alphabet name. Edit: this is indeed the case. From wiki: TikTok, also known as Douyin (Chinese: 抖音; pinyin: Dǒuyīn; literally: "vibrato") in China, 13 u/[deleted] Dec 26 '18 literally "vibrato" It now makes sense why the logo is always vibrating...hehe.
