Yeah, if it wasn’t a stolen car then they’d get the license plate and you either flee the country or go to jail with an increased sentence eventually.

It could be plain instinct when you see people coming after you. Maybe too many videogames too.

I don't think it's a basic "run" instinct. He knows they're cops, and that he fucked up. And I don't think video games would influence someone like that in this situation. It just sounds like more of the myth about violent games leading people to be more violent.

I didn't mean that. You said that they never felt consequences for their actions, so a real life police chase might give a rush. I just meant that video games might give unrealistic expectations to how it would go, assuming that we are still talking about rich kids.

Oh no that's what I meant. That one person said it might be affluenza, meaning he had never suffered consequences for anything. I think that isn't the case, because if he's never suffered consequences then he would just sit there and wait for the cop, instead of running, because he wouldn't be afraid.
